So many people today are living lives that are going nowhere. They are stuck with no way out. Opportunities come and go unrecognized, doors open up but the children of God are unable to perceive them. There is a lot of despair as many brethren have given up and are ready to throw in the towel. Where did the faith go? Where is the hope? Why are there so many tears in the eyes of the children of God, why is there so much weeping in the house of God? Why are we not comforted?
Today, I write this blog because I realize something has to change. After so many years of being stuck, I am now ready to stand up, wipe my eyes and start the journey, only this time with purpose. If God is on my side, why am I so defeated? Why those thoughts of despair and what’s with the daily discouragement? Am I not a child of the most high God? This morning, I entered the Lord’s presence feeling so down, I told my father of the same mountains that have been before me for so many years. I told him I needed a way out and that only he could do it for me; that I don’t see any open doors in front of me, that the waves have engulfed me, that all hope is gone unless he shows up. I have done this so many times before but I am still at the same place. Today, my loving father spoke and unlike other days, I heard the whisper. He asked me “Child, where is your faith?”
So many Christians today have given their problems spiritual labels. Our problems go by all kinds of names. We call them spiritual warfare, storms, seasons of darkness, mountain experiences, floods, name it. Once we give them these spiritual labels, we remove our selves from the equation and make God fully responsible for the solutions. We don’t even try to do anything but sit and wait. I know that God tells us to be still and know that He is God but brethren, let us not be unwise. Faith without action is also dead remember! In fact, lets just start with the faith part of it. Are we fully trusting God, or are we just doing our spiritual drills and telling God what we want then are quick to speak negative words into our situations? Today, God told me to have faith. To believe that I have received what I have been asking for. To trust him enough to believe that He is able to deliver. He went further to tell me to stop being complacent.
In the scripture, many of God’s children prayed for redemption. When the kings of old went to war, they cried to God for victory and they got their weapons and went out to fight. Had they locked themselves up in the palaces and cried and cried to God, they could have never consumed their enemies. God may have granted them safety, but the enemies could have showed up time after time. But since the children of God believed God, they went out to war and vanquished all their enemies. When the children of God wanted to cross the red sea, Moses cried out to God and he was told to raise the stick he was carrying. Instead of crying out to God about how unrealistic it sounded, he lifted it and hit the water with it. Well the rest is history. When God wanted the children of Israel to bring down the walls of Jericho, he told them to go round that city seven times, singing and dancing and on the last day they were to shout. Now, had they mourned and wailed to the Lord about how guarded the city was and how impossible the problem looked, they would have never have seen God’s power at work like they did when they believed God and did as they were told.
My message today is for those of you that have been crying to God for years about certain situations in your life. Today, God is saying “believe me and act!” God loves a broken and contrite spirit, but he also says that it’s impossible to please him without faith. Wipe your tears and ask God what he wants you to do today. These are like the days of Ezekiel and God wants to make the dry bones flesh. There is a God in heaven that has your solution. Do as he asks you to do. Mourning will get you nowhere but faith will. God is saying that his children’s tears have reached him but his children have refused to believe him enough to do as he says. Are you looking for a job, go out and go to offices you have never dared to step in. Are you trusting God for a spouse, believe that you have received one In Jesus name. Are you believing God for a child, start getting your house ready to accommodate one. Are you believing God to start a business? Draw up a business plan and obey the Lords guidance. God is saying, start living as if you have already received it. Our tears have crushed God’s heart and now he is asking us to believe him. This second half of the year will bring miracles like the children of God have never seen. This second half of the year is bringing the best that heaven has to offer. Your tears have reached God and He has sent his word declaring “Only believe and act. I will help you.” Situations are going to change, breakthroughs are going to be experienced. A new day has come, but you have to believe God without a shadow of doubt.
May you be blessed as you start walking in real faith. Nothing is impossible with God and the old is being made new. Believe in the Lord today. Receive your answer in Jesus name.
